Great UMCC meeting today 12/10

Your leadership team for all of DSHS met with all the directors of the different divisions today and Secretary Dreyfus. The budget was discussed (oh, scary) and different ad hoc committees. One thing that I heard loud and clear from Secretary Dreyfus is she wants to hear from US. She wants our input on cost savings ideas and participation in change processing. So, all you idea people and happy bloggers, please post your ideas and thoughts on changes.

Also, an agreement was signed today for the creation of the ad hoc committee on the SDR and call center issues... we need to hear from you so we can take your input to management!!

TYPE ON!!!

This is a perfect time for everyone within the CSD (CSC/CSD) to speak up. We have all read or at least heard that Babs is keeping the same vision, and maybe who knows it might be the best and we have to get there to see it. And that is my point, its time to change the direction of our travels down this change. Ideas are needed from everyone. How many of you like coming in and looking at a back log of between 30-45 days. I do it everyday. I have a suggestion that we suggest to management that DMS is wiped clean, the documents will remain in history. We then as the two units work on keeping the cases updated. If DMS is up-to-date, then at the next contact is when we make sure that everything is verified if needed or at least documentated. You won't have to call a case up wait what seems a long time for Barcode to complete the command, just to find out that the document has already been worked, and not disposed of; or because it is so old, there are other changes that have been reported and also need to process. We need to start over with a clean slate and show management how good we really are or let the numbers show that there isnt enough of us to keep up with it, how knows maybe we just might get some more FTE's. I have been keeping record of Region 7 Dist 3 change backlog since 10/1/09 and it has peeks and valleys but we werent gaining on it. Give us your suggestions, and now. Lets get Babs to change it our way.
